HIKMICRO Thermal Clip-On FAQs

Clip-on or thermal scope?

A clip-on keeps your day scope, reticle and zero, so you can swap between day and night in seconds. A dedicated thermal scope is simpler and lighter on the rifle. If you already own a quality day scope, a clip-on is often the better buy.

Do I need an adaptor to fit a HIKMICRO clip-on?

Usually, yes. Clip-ons attach to the front of the day scope with an adaptor sized to its objective. Check the box contents on each product page, and see our thermal mounts guide for fitting advice.

What magnification day scope works with a clip-on?

Clip-ons suit day scopes run at lower magnification. Each Thunder model lists its recommended day scope range on its product page, so check it against your scope before you buy. Compare other brands in our clip-on thermal range.
